RA

Rahimah bt. Azman

Alor Setar, Kedah — June 2025

I came in not knowing what to expect. The solicitor explained exactly where things stood and what my options were. I left with a written note that I read again at home and it helped me think more clearly. I did not feel pressured into anything.

TK

Tan Kim Huat

Sungai Petani — July 2025

The document drafting service was straightforward. They prepared the papers and walked me through each one in Mandarin so I understood what I was signing. The filing instructions were clear. It took about three weeks from start to submission.

FI

Faridah bt. Ibrahim

Alor Setar — June 2025

I had been putting off dealing with the divorce for almost two years because I was afraid of what the process would involve. The first meeting here made it less frightening. The process took about nine months and I was kept informed throughout — never had to chase for updates.

LB

Lee Boon Seng

Kepala Batas, Penang — July 2025

My situation involved children and an ex-spouse who was not cooperating. The office was calm about it and gave me realistic expectations rather than telling me what I wanted to hear. The matter went to court and the outcome was acceptable. I appreciated the honesty throughout.

NZ

Norzilah bt. Zakaria

Langkawi — June 2025

I used the video appointment option since travelling from Langkawi is not always practical. It worked well. The only slight thing was that the written note after the first session arrived one day later than expected, but the office flagged it in advance so it was fine.

AY

Ahmad Yusof bin Malik

Alor Setar — July 2025

We came in to formalise an agreement we had already reached between ourselves. The document drafting service was exactly right for that. Everything was done in Bahasa Malaysia and the explanation of each document was patient and thorough. Completed in under a month.

Two situations, in more detail

Case study A · Full representation · 8 months

A contested divorce with maintenance and child access in dispute

The situation

A client came in after her husband had left the family home. He was not responding to messages and she was uncertain whether she could file for divorce, what maintenance she was entitled to and what the position on the children's schooling would be.

What the office did

The office filed the petition, pursued service when the respondent initially evaded, made an interim maintenance application and negotiated agreed access terms that were incorporated into the final order without a full hearing on that point.

Outcome

Decree absolute obtained. Maintenance order made. Children's access schedule formalised. The matter was resolved in eight months from first instruction. The client said the written updates made the long wait more manageable.

"I always knew what stage we were at. That was the thing I valued most."

Case study B · Document drafting · 3 weeks

An agreed divorce where both parties were ready to proceed but needed the paperwork done correctly

The situation

A couple had reached their own agreement on all matters — assets, maintenance and the children. They wanted the divorce filed correctly but could not afford full representation and felt confident handling the court attendance themselves.

What the office did

The office drafted the petition, the consent order and the supporting affidavit. Each document was explained in English and Mandarin. The clients were given a clear checklist for filing and attending court, and the papers were reviewed once more before submission.

Outcome

Documents accepted by the court without amendment. The clients attended the hearing without the office and the order was granted. Total time from first contact to submitted papers: three weeks. Total cost: RM 365.

"We knew what we wanted — we just needed it done properly. This was exactly the right level of help."
